Foxchase on Hitchcock Woods
If you are looking for a true community to call home, look no further than Foxchase on Hitchcock Woods. This development features gently rolling hills and large home sites with mature landscaping and magnificent long leaf pines which offer the chance to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Designed as an equine-focused development, Foxchase is the only equine community in Aiken where homeowners have direct access to Hitchcock Woods with its more than 70 miles of trails. In addition, there are four miles of dedicated trail easements within the property and on the perimeter of the development to give riders and walkers easy access to the Woods.
The first home was built in Foxchase in 1965 and today there are 111 homes and one remaining building lot. Over half of the homeowners own horses with appropriate outbuildings for their equine companions; many other homes have facilities that are not used for horses but retain the equine theme. Community amenities also include a horse arena and a swimming pool.

Foxchase Swim Club
Foxchase Swim Club
The Foxchase Pool is owned and operated by its members. Foxchase residents have priority to join, and we also welcome non-residents to keep costs down for everyone. Swim Club members provide all funding and volunteer labor for the pool’s on-going operation. The goal is to maintain the pool as an attractive asset for the Foxchase community!
Annual membership fee is $350 for residents who are willing to clean two weeks over the summer (a $100 cleaning deposit is required which is refunded after cleaning is completed.) The membership fee is $450 for those who do not wish to participate in cleaning. Residents who own a pool but want to join are welcome at $175/season.
The pool is a great way to cool down during our hot South Carolina summers. We sponsor pool parties on the third Friday of each month during the summer. Hot dogs and hamburgers are provided — everyone brings a dish to share and it’s always a feast! Look for the signs at the front entrance. It’s a great way to meet those neighbors you’ve been waving to as you pass them on the road. All are welcome.

Arena
Access to the Foxchase Arena is by membership only. The Waiver & Rules for the use of the Foxchase Arena are posted at the Arena and located in the mailbox by the Arena Gate. The waiver and rules may also be downloaded here:
Authorized Users include Foxchase Homeowners or their renters who have paid their Foxchase Homeowner Annual Fee and Annual Arena Fee for the current year. Each Authorized User’s guest and trainer must have paid their fees for the current year. All equestrian users must submit a current negative Coggins test and a completed waiver before using the Arena. Send all payments, forms, and any inquiries to the Chairperson.
