862 New Bridge Road. Aiken, SC 29805
Established in 2000 by Russ McCall, New Bridge originated from the passion, energy, and heritage of polo. Presently, New Bridge welcomes equestrians from various disciplines and individuals who have a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
We envision vast open pastures resembling lush green oceans, adorned with hues of rust, steel, stone, and onyx stretching gracefully to the horizon. We crave the scents of earth, hay, horses, wildflowers, and leather. We long for the melodies of birds, the powerful drum of hooves, the groom's whistle, the neigh of beloved horses, and the laughter of neighbors intertwined. We desire the dust of the day on our jackets, the mud on our boots. We seek the affectionate nuzzle of a horse's nose seeking an apple from our hands. We aspire to reside where Aiken's energy and expansive landscapes coexist harmoniously – an integral part of everyday life. We seek a secure haven where solitude and connection, relaxed enjoyment and intense competition are not only achievable but preferable. We yearn for horse-friendly paths, four-board fencing, polo fields designed for the exhilarating pulse of sport, arenas for training or recreation, and trails that allow exploration while keeping us close to home. We seek well-maintained stables that offer care and comfort for our horses to call home. We desire space to play, ride, and live in a place we can truly call home. As neighbors, we invite individuals from all equestrian disciplines and outdoor enthusiasts to experience the essential pleasures of horse-country living: a lifestyle that honors horses, people, and the land – in a community designed to unite them all. Join us in this adventure!
At New Bridge, the clubhouse stands out as a charming colonial-style gathering spot crafted from century-old wood sourced from Argentina. It serves as the focal point of community life, warmly welcoming members, guests, players, friends, and family. Throughout the polo season, the clubhouse becomes the hub for post-match cocktails and dinners shared with players and friends. All year round, it transforms into a distinctive venue available for weddings, parties, receptions, and meetings. Near the clubhouse, residents can indulge in a swimming pool with a lounge area, a clay tennis court, and an "asado" – an Argentinian-style grill – offering a range of amenities for their enjoyment. The Clubhouse is an ideal venue for various events, whether it's a wedding or a business meeting. Featuring indoor and outdoor spaces, spacious front and back porches, and a second-floor balcony, the clubhouse provides 1,700 square feet of space for any occasion. The foyer includes cozy seating and restrooms, while the bar with its picturesque windows offers breathtaking views of Polo Field #1.
